 Motherlode Tutoring Services has worked hard to build programs that not only benefit students, but allow for parent and teacher involvement. Being a teacher has given me valuable insight into the importance of these relationships, and I have made them a vital component of these programs. - Subject Matter Tutoring
This is designed to make sure students receive individualized tutoring to support their coursework. Subject matter tutoring can include help with homework, testing and coursework. Motherlode Tutoring Services also offers small group homework support sessions during specific hours of the week. Please call to schedule a time.
- Exam Courses
This course will be offered as classes to prepare for the SAT and EXIT exams. Classes will be offered throughout the year, and contain test taking strategies, test preparation skills, information and dates about the specific and practice tests. Please call for dates and times. This can also be done on an individual basis.
- Project Planning & Completion Courses
Students will be offered the chance to work in group and individual sessions to ensure successful completion of major project assignments (e.g. senior project, history fair, science fair, etc). Students will receive individual and group help in choosing project topics, researching, setting deadlines, and outlining projects. Students will be given time to work with other students and practice presenting their projects. Please call for dates and times. This can also be done on an individual basis.
- Skill Set Help
These skill sets were created to help students learn specific habits and techniques that will help them throughout their educational career. Students can receive individualized help with studying strategies, organizational skills, test taking strategies, and time management. Please call to schedule a time.
